Who we are
Backyard Maps is a small agency, run by Tyler Wertz, that manages Google Business Profiles for home-service contractors. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: your name, email address and phone number.
- Business information from our forms and audits: business name, address, service area, services, the searches you want to rank for, competitors, license details and similar facts about your business.
- Public Google data about your business, such as your Google Maps rank, reviews and profile details, when we run an audit or a report.
- Basic site analytics, such as pages visited and whether an email was opened, so we know what is working.
Why we use it
- To run the audits and rank checks you ask for.
- To contact you about your audit, your questions or our service.
- To deliver the service if you become a client, including monthly reports.
- To send you emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out any time.
Who helps us run things
We use a few trusted services to operate. They only get what they need to do their job:
- Vercel hosts this website and its forms.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Stripe processes payments. We never see or store your full card number.
- Google services, such as Google Maps data, Google Sheets, Google Analytics and Google Calendar, help us run audits, keep records and book calls.
What we don't do
We don't sell your information. We don't rent it or trade it to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while we're talking with you or working together, and for a reasonable time afterward for our records, unless you ask us to delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we have, correct it, or delete it. Email tyler@thebackyardmaps.com and we'll take care of it. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
